Man, if it's one thing people don't need these days, it's a broken computer. Having a computer down can set you back and keep you from doing the important things in your life like conducting business to the simple things like keeping in touch with friends. I know, I understand. That's why I'm very sympathetic when someone's computer's down and they're looking to back up as quick as possible. That's where I come in.
More Than Just An IT Person
I've got over ten years of experience repairing computers, but don't think for a second that I don't humble myself. There are always new things to learn and new problems to encounter. I'll be the first to say I don't know everything. In fact, the more I learn about computers, the more I learn I don't know. That's why, I always attack each problem with an open mind and never assume a problem a client has is exactly like an issue someone else is having.
I go out to my client's business or home to diagnose and fix the problem on location because the majority of all repair can be done on the spot and because I actually ask questions about my client's needs and issues that lead up to the problem with their computer. Asking questions and being with my clients leads to success time and time again. It's not the case with most IT firms, the most well-known being Geek Squad.
My Clients Are People, Not Cattle
Whoh, that's a harsh statement, right? It's not harsh, it's spot on. Dropping your computer off to a company like Geek Squad is one of the last things I recommend people do. And it's true, your treated like cattle, not as a person with a problem that needs help. But, don't take my word on it. Read this article from a former Geek Squad employee on consumerist.com about how IT companies view their cattle.
"Based on what's been said here and previously, you might be better off taking your computer elsewhere for repairs. Unless you like the idea of a guy who used to work at Taco Bell fondling your laptop."
Computers are not like cars, you can't just drop it off like you would your car at a mechanic and say "This needs to be fixed. When will it be done?". Yet dropping your computer off to a repair shop is exactly that. You drop your computer off, they ask what's wrong, tell you how much it may be and tell you when to come by to pick it up. They call you days later, telling you it's done, you pay the people and once you bring it home... great, you discover something was screwed up because you were able to be there with them during the process so they screwed up your settings, files or simple changed things around and didn't fix the problem. I've built my business model around gaining my client's trust and being there, with them, working on the issue together.
So What Can I Do For You?
Enough talk, right? So what can I do for you? If your computer's broke, I can fix it. I can replace hardware, repair errors to software, errors to the operating system, ect. Basically almost anything out there that deals with tech I can fix. And the things I can't, I come straight out and let you know if I can't and recommendations on how you can go about getting it repaired. So rather than me listing 101 things that I can repair, the best thing is just to get in touch with me and talk to me about what's going on. I can then tell you how I can help. And remember, I have no secretary so the number or email you contact me by will be answered by me.
